#auggiethecavapoo is 4 months 🐶🖤 4 Months / 7.11 pounds / Likes: toilet paper, stealing socks, and organic chicken jerky / Dislikes: the vacuum cleaner, the ironing board 🤷🏼‍♀️, and getting blow-dried after a bath / Milestones: Jumping up on the couch on his own, all puppy shots are done and he's getting his first hair cut this week - so we can see those cute eyes again! 😂

Half of me is posting this to share and the other half is posting so I won't change it again. 🙈 As a designer, THE hardest thing is to nail down a brand style for yourself. Just like any other ABC branding project, I started with an inspiration board. I wanted feminine, but not too feminine; casual but not too casual; modern, but not too modern; Magnolia-ish, but not too Magnolia-ish (Yes, @magnolia is an adjective in my house 😂) and when it was all said and done, this is what I landed on. And I'm stickin' to it!!! 👊🏻 #ashleybrownbrands
Random Sunday fact about me: I collect antique cameras. It's the only thing I "collect" -- which is a massively shorter list compared to my 10-year-old self who collected rocks, stickers, Madame Alexander dolls, seashells, baseball cards, oh, and Pogs. (Do ya'll remember Pogs?!). You'll find six or so cameras scattered here and there throughout the house, but every now and then I'll weed through the collection and pair it down to just my favorites so our guest room closet doesn't become an antique camera storage unit. 😜 Now I'm interested, do you guys collect anything? And please tell me I'm not the only one who bought into the Pog craze in the 90's. 😅

Greg and I spent the last solid 48 hours in honest-to-goodness Sabbath Mode for the first time in years. While having these last couple of days of rest has been great, the downtime over the last few days shouldn't have felt as necessary as it did. Carving out time for regular rest and recharging is not only for our good, but it also glorifies God, and we haven't been doing the best job of prioritizing that rest. My current "get it done" list is too long for comfort right now. I have a website to finish, print pieces to design, a Summer line to finish, copy to write, and an embarrassing amount of laundry to fold and put away. But here's the thing... It's not about resting when the work is done, the laundry is put away and life is peaceful. It's about grabbing hold of the peace God offers and resting in the work HE has done. Amen?? 🙌🏼 Today is our last day of "Sabbath Mode", so we're taking a day trip to Williamsburg for lunch, walking Duke of Gloucester Street, people-watching and playing Scrabble. Because apparently we're really 80-year-olds at heart 😜
