Our design process is something we’re really proud of and have spent years perfecting. It’s important to us because not only is it our goal to give you an amazing brand, but we also want the process to be fun, edifying to you as a business owner, and completely free of frustration.

Part One | Discovery

To kick off the project, we’ll ask you to complete a Brand Workbook. This is a comprehensive questionnaire that will help us both understand your brand strategy, your brand personality (or “voice”) and how your visual brand will be utilized in your day-to-day workflow.

Part Two | Setting the Mood

Our creative ideas go to work and we start by curating a mood board and custom color palette based on your Brand Workbook. This will help us have a cohesive visual direction and vibe.

Part Three | Concept Delivery

You’ll receive four custom logo concepts. They will each have a different feel and look.

Part Four | Brand Build Out

Once your final logo is chosen, the Brand Board will be created. This will include the primary and secondary logo(s), the color palette, and, if applicable other brand-specific design elements like patterns and illustrations.

Part Five | Print + Social Design

Now that the foundation elements of your brand are buttoned up, we have everything in our design toolbelt to design the print and digital items outlined in your proposal. We’ll also design social media assets to coordinate with your brand.

Part Six | Brand Book + Mechanicals

The Brand Book includes everything you need to use your logo and brand elements. This will help you maintain consistency in your brand moving forward. We will also develop a Brand Guideline document that includes helpful mechanicals like color codes, spacing guidelines, etc. Pro Tip: If you have a brand photoshoot, send the Brand Book to your photographer. You’ll be their favorite client!

Part Seven | Delivery

You’ll receive the ABC Launch Day Kit with tips on sharing your new brand with your audience, content ideas, as well as countdown graphics to include in your launch.

ABOUT BRANDING
  • Typically, the brand design process takes between 2 to 4 weeks. However, no two brands are the same and each client has different needs. After we nail down the details of your project, we can give you an accurate timeline.

  • Each part of the brand design process has a different number of revisions. After 16+ years of brand design experience, our clients typically have just 1 revision request - or none at all! So there’s plenty of wiggle room just in case.

  • For branding projects, we require a 50% non-refundable downpayment to officially book your project in our calendar. The remaining 50% will be due upon completion and before final files are delivered.

  • We prefer to work with clients from the ground up. However, we understand budget & timelines can be tricky. If you are wanting a slight logo tweak (or help with a current website), we recommend booking a Design Day. This will allow you to have a full 8 hours to tackle your design wishlist.

  • That’s okay! The Brand Workbook is designed to get a look inside your train of thought, your likes and dislikes, and your vision for your brand. Together, I’m confident that when we wrap up the brand design process, you’ll be in love with your new brand — no design speak needed!

  • If we’re working together on print materials, we will provide you with printer-ready files to easily place your order with your favorite printer. We’re also available to work directly with printers at an hourly rate. Psst… A few of my favorite online printers are listed here.

  • Once you get settled in with your new brand and decide you are in need of additional design work, we suggest booking a Design Day where we can tackle all of your design to-do’s (or website updates) in one day.

  • Our brand design calendar is typically booked out 1-3 months. Fill out the booking form and we’ll get back to you with our first available date.
